How to Reset Your Password on a MAHEC Device When Offsite

  • Close all applications including Outlook
  • Go to account.mahec.net
  • Click Reset my password
  • Follow prompts to reset password
  • Connect to Global Protect (VPN) with new password
  • Once Global Protect (VPN) is connected lock your MAHEC Device (Ctrl – Alt – Del and choose lock computer),  then unlock by entering your new password and this will update the local password.
  • Once your local password is updated, then REBOOT your MAHEC Device before accessing any applications

Passwords must meet the following requirements:

  1. Passwords must meet the following minimum requirements:
    • Not contain the user name or parts of the user’s full name
    • Be at least 10 characters in length
  2. Contain characters from ALL of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a through z)
    • Numerical characters (0 through 9)
    • Special characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
